Oasis in the Park

 Good Afternoon,

    I found myself having lunch at the most raved about place in Sansom Park. Are you familiar with Sansom Park or where it might be? 

    Sansom Park is located a few miles from downtown Fort Worth. It is 1.5 square miles big and home to some of the brightest, friendliest, and talented people in the state of Texas. These people though, prefer the low key approach so I wont be naming names here. 

Before the Covid-19 Crisis changed our lives, my live in and I would try once a week to sit at a restaurant for lunch. We would have to choose places that were close to his job, and the service was somewhat fast. Depending on where we were going, decided the attire for the day. This was pretty fun when I would try and dress according to the name of the restaurant and try to see if I could match the decor and atmosphere. 

Today's restaurant review comes out of Sansom Park and takes us to the Oasis Restaurant located at 5103 Azle Ave, Sansom Park, TX.

Upon arrival you'll notice the wide patio, there is an open sign in the window and the door to enter the building is to the left. I write it this way because from where I parked and had trouble finding the entrance. I am positive this is a me thing and not an everyone thing. There is also a  sign letting you know that masks are necessary for entry into the restaurant. 

The best words to describe the chandelier is....glitzy. Everything here, with the exception of the booths located in the rear and sides of the restaurant, is made to be mobile. I am still out on the decision if its because maybe its part of the event center or if they hadn't decided where exactly they wanted things to stay permanently. I lean a little towards it doubling as an event center where fancy dances take place. 

We were told we could sit anywhere in the restaurant, and we decided to sit in a booth closest to the entrance and near a window. While some tables were spaced 6 ft apart, none were actually marked as a preventative for Covid-19.  There weren't a lot of patrons there, so it worked out perfectly. 

We sat in a booth that was spacious and the table to seat ratio left enough room for your body. I can't begin to tell you enough about this. Have you ever sat in an overcrowded restaurant only to find that you couldn't breathe or your knees were hitting the table because the table and the chair just didn't belong together? Well, friends and neighbors, this is NOT the restaurant. The booths are spacious and the tables are not of the knee knocking variety. 

I recommend trying the bacon cheeseburger. The fries are served proportionately. What this means that if you are trying to have a mild heart attack by overindulging on fries, this is also not the place to do this. They look out for you here. I love that about a restaurant. One that is cautious about their food cost so that they can wow you with spacious booths and fancy service. 

Upon checkout I noticed that this is also a hookah venue. They have a gorgeous patio where I suppose after COVID this will be taking place more frequently. I have never hookah'd before so I cannot go on about this. 

All in all, I think you should try this place out.
